About Me

I am Miranda and I am the primary photographer for Magnolia Grace Photography. My husband and I started photographing weddings somewhat by chance about 10 years ago. I had loved photography since High School, and had gotten a new camera for Christmas. A friend of ours had a photographer that had cancelled at last minute and asked if I could do the wedding. WHOA! I wanted to help so I agreed! It was much harder than I expected, but I also loved the excitement and joy of being a part of someone's special day. I became hooked on photography and started studying and reading everything I could find to become a better photographer. We grew our business for about 7 years until our little girl was born, and then we took a 2 year sabbatical to focus on her. Recently, we again were asked to jump in unexpectedly at a wedding where the photographer fell ill (although this time, we were much more prepared!) and God began opening doors for us to photograph a few more weddings. I began to dream of photography again and realized it was time to come back!

We changed our name from Mimi Kay Photography to Magnolia Grace Photography to reflect this change in our lives. Our little girl's middle name is Grace, and my mom's favorite flower is Magnolia. We put these together, and our new brand was born. We have reduced our prices for 2020 in order to rebuild our brand and begin this journey afresh.

Our dream is to photograph your happiest moments-- weddings, family sessions, milestones, fun mini sessions, and special events! We focus on capturing emotion in our images and our style includes minimal posing and more of a focus on creating interactions that will create beautiful memories for a lifetime.
